Race 1:
The 19 lap series-opening shootout was a highly contested affair, with tremendous 3-4 wide racing the first 9 laps.

Then on lap 10, the 11-car big one struck.

The race resumed with a 5-lap shootout, and Jason Leffler was able to hold off hard final-lap charges from Brian Scott, Morgan Shepherd, Jon Wes Townley, and Justin Allgaier.

Race #2 review:
Brian Scott wins the CVS Talladega Series Race #2! Congatulations! Just over halfway through the race, after already having made on unscheduled green flag pit stop, Trevor Bayne's gearbox broke, holding up a line of cars. That left 13 cars, including Landon Cassill, who was 3 laps down due to an unscheduled green flag pit stop. Then, with 6 laps to go, Steve Arpin lost a header. As cars checked up, Steven Wallace and Justin Allgaier couldn't slow down enough, and those two collected Arpin, Cassill, and Tony Raines got some damage too. Only Arpin dropped out, and that was from the header. The green flag flew with a one lap shootout. Brian Scott led the field to green, but Danica Patrick and Chrissy Wallace couldn't gather enough of a run as Scott won, Patrick finished 2nd, and Wallace finished 3rd.

Pics coming eventually.

Race #3 Review:
Gaughan Wins By Way of Pit Stop
Brendan Gaughan pulled away in the final laps to win by 3.8 seconds over Steven Wallace. Perched in a battle with Wallace that produced side-by-side racing over the last few laps, Wallace pitted on lap 63, and Gaughan pitted on lap 64. The only other cars near the two were the lapped cars of Scott Lagasse and Kelly Bires. When Gaughan came out of pit road and the pit stops cycled out, he held a 3.2 second lead over Wallace with 2 laps remaining. Wallace would have no shot at catching him, as he actually fell back to 3.8 seconds behind Wallace. Brendan Gaughan went on to capture his first career win, as Brian Scott had done just before him.

Race 4:
In race 4, speeds were unrestricted in the 10-lap shootout. John Borneman held off a furious charge from Justin Allgaier and won by .008 seconds, easily the closest finish in series history. After the checkers, Borneman and Allgaier hooked fenders, and they slid into the infield and Allgaier got into the air. They slid back up the track and John Wes Townley clobbered Borneman, sending Borneman 30 feet up in the air. As he spun around in midair, Steve Arpin and Trevor Bayne also collected damage. Borneman came back down and barrel-rolled several times in the first flip in series history.

With his 3rd-place finish, Brian Scott now has a 6 point lead in the ROTY race and a 29-point lead in the regular points.
